Groove 107.7 FM - cafe style radio - Wellington - Run by Dean Conland this great radio station in Wellington has been proving very popular. Playing everything from Lounge, Swing, Jazz, Acid Jazz, Funk, Soul to anything with a Groove, they also champion local artists, DJs, funk collectives and anyone who makes groovy music. Auckland City Brass - excellent C Grade brass band - Three Kings Auckland - bandmanageracb@ihug.co.nz. Practising one night a week they are a fun group of talented musicians. Contact the band manager if you think you've got what it takes to join them.

Waitakere City Mens Choir (Auckland) - an all male choir based in Te Atatu Peninsula practicing Monday nights 7.15 to 9.30pm at the Union Church by the roundabout. "We are not associated with the Church but use their facilities." No experience necessary. Lots of help available to a new member. Contact Noel: 09 828 1305.

United Youth Orchestra (UYO) Hamilton - High school + aged orchestra based in Hamilton. Canterbury Philharmonia Inc. - The Canterbury Philharmonia is an amateur symphonic orchestra based in Christchurch. They rehearse weekly towards three concerts held during the year. Led by conductor Mark Hodgkinson, the Philharmonia plays a wide range of orchestral music, including works by New Zealand composers. Contact is the secretary at www.canterburyphilharmonia.org.nz
